Varela, Francisco 1946-2001
Francisco Varela (* 7. September 1946, Santiago de Chile; † 28. Mai 2001, Paris) war ein chilenischer Biologe and Philosoph, der, zusammen mit Humberto Maturana, vor allem für die Einführung des Konzepts der Autopoiese und die Begründung des radikalen Konstruktivismus' bekannt wurde.
